This date

The day, in short

One day. One room. A facilitated arc that moves from how you were taught to lead, to how you actually lead, to how you want to lead next.

The day is built for participation rather than performance. Expect teaching, writing, small-group work and a closing circle — with real breaks, real food, and no expectation that you arrive polished.

Most leadership development teaches a model and asks you to fit inside it. For Black women that instruction lands differently: the model usually assumes a person who has never had to manage how she is read before she is heard.

    Arrival & grounding

Welcome, breakfast, and a grounding practice before the work begins.

  2. Late morning

    The inherited signature

A real break, at a real table, with women doing the same work.

  4. Afternoon

    Defining your signature

Guided writing and small-group testing of your leadership articulation.

  5. Close

    Practice & commitment

Building the practice that protects the signature you just named, then closing circle.

Read more about Dr.

Dr. Thenera Bailey is a leadership architect and organizational strategist, and the creator of BWELL. Her work sits where leadership development and wellbeing meet: not resilience as endurance, but resilience that does not require self-abandonment.

She facilitates The Cost of Carrying It All and Return to Self, the two arcs of the CONTINUE™ Framework, guiding participants from naming what they carry to deciding, on purpose, what they will protect, release, practice and continue.
