The BWELL Experience
What actually happens on a Journey
Every BWELL Journey — a day in Long Beach or a week at sea — follows the same arc. The scale changes. The intention does not.
Before
Preparation, not paperwork
From the moment you register, your My BWELL account holds everything: what to bring, what to expect, what to let go of before you arrive.
During
Facilitated, spacious programming
Teaching, guided reflection, small-group circles and genuinely unscheduled time. Programming is designed to leave room, not to fill it.
One-to-one
Individual attention
Destination Journeys include an individual BWELL session so the week is not only collective. Day Journeys include small-circle work with the same intent.
After
The return
Resources, reflection prompts and Keepsakes stay in your account. The return plan is part of the Journey, not an afterthought.

Principles
How we build a Journey
- Rest is the work
- We do not treat restoration as the reward at the end of the agenda. It is the condition that makes the rest of the day possible.
- Culturally grounded
- Built by and for professional Black women. Nothing has to be explained twice, and nothing has to be translated.
- Small enough to be seen
- Journeys are capped so that facilitators know your name and the woman beside you knows what you are working on.
- Beautiful on purpose
- The room, the table, the light, the pace. Care is not decoration — it is the message.
